What Kind of Trade Show Exhibit Booth Makes Sense For You?
67Once going through an evaluation to determine whether a business should include trade shows as a part of their marketing mix, a decision as to whether a custom exhibit or standard exhibit kit will work best for them is looming. There are advantages to both. A custom designed exhibit booth allows a company to do, well, just about anything they like with their exhibit. While most exhibit systems provide some degree of customization (especially when it comes to graphics) a truly customized booth is one that allows for much more in the way of branding. It's possible to combine elements from several of the exhibit types including fabric, custom laminates, truss, metal grids, handing signs, unique free standing plasma displays and more! Having a first class presence at a show makes attendees more likely to stop and take a look.
As with any purchasing decision, there are a number of things to evaluate. For instance, with a custom exhibit the pricing is going to be higher. It is also likely that the exhibit will have to pack into and ship in large tubs of wooden crates. The weight will be higher, meaning higher shipping costs, drayage costs and storage expenses.
Because of these considerations, some of the more portable display systems on the market make more sense. There have been quite a few new systems introduced over the last 3-4 years and all have several things in common. They are more economical. They can ship via FedEx or Ups. They weigh less. Drayage expenses are down and set up and tear down labor is reduced.
Thus, when buying an exhibit it's always a good idea to explore your options, make a list of priorities and to make an informed decision as to what sort of exhibit will work best for you.
